Who Features in Quarterback Next?
Netflix released Season 3 of Quarterback on July 14. A fourth season has not been announced, but if the cameras roll again for the 2026 NFL campaign, Action Network’s early odds say Raiders rookie Fernando Mendoza is the player they follow first, with Aaron Rodgers and Jaxson Dart close behind.

The Early Favorite
Ten quarterbacks, one question: whose 2026 season is a documentary crew most likely to follow? Each set of odds reflects storyline strength, fit with previous casts, audience appeal and the likelihood of granting season-long access.
The Early Market
Season 3 of Quarterback followed Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward and Joe Flacco through the 2025 NFL season. If the series returns for the 2026 campaign, its next group of quarterbacks would need to offer both meaningful access and a season-long story. Action Network assessed 10 candidates and converted each assessment into early American moneyline odds on who could make the cast.

The Leading Cases
Three storylines separate the front of the market from the field: a No. 1 pick learning on camera, a farewell tour and a first full season under the New York spotlight.
The Rookie Favorite
Mendoza offers the same starting point that made Cam Ward compelling in Season 3: the league’s top pick adjusting to the NFL in real time. A No. 1 selection carrying a Raiders rebuild is a ready-made season-long arc, and rookie quarterbacks have historically been open to access because the cameras document a story they want told.
The Final Chapter
Rodgers’ confirmed farewell season is a one-time story that no other quarterback on this board can match. His previous Netflix documentary, Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, also shows that extensive camera access is possible, which removes the biggest practical obstacle to casting him.
The New York Test
Dart enters his first full year as the Giants’ starter with a new coach, the country’s biggest media market and little room for a quiet season. Whether it goes well or badly, the story moves every single week, and that is exactly what a documentary crew is hunting for.
The biggest names are not automatically the likeliest choices. Quarterback needs players willing to provide season-long access and stories that can evolve throughout the year.Action Network Spokesperson
How We Set The Odds
Action Network reviewed the show’s first three seasons and assessed 10 quarterbacks across four factors. The assessment comes first: the odds and implied chances are converted from it, never the other way around.
How compelling is the quarterback’s 2026 season on paper? Debuts, farewells, fresh starts and title chases all score differently.
How closely does the player match the profiles the show has chosen before, from established stars to rookies thrown into the fire?
How large is the national audience the quarterback brings, measured by market size, profile and existing fan following?
How likely is the player to grant season-long, behind-the-scenes access, based on publicly available indicators and past media projects?
