Across both Airbnb and Booking.com, average Queens accommodation prices were roughly 22% to 27% higher during the Aug. 31–Sept. 13 window than for the same-length stay one month later.
The Queens result is consistent across the two accommodation platforms, and the median comparison also moves in the same direction.
Airbnb prices were also higher in Manhattan, while Booking.com averages were effectively flat. That split is why Queens is the cleaner location-level finding.
RotoGrinders analyzed 2,073 Airbnb and Booking.com search listings for Queens and Manhattan. The comparison uses two 13-night, two-adult stays: Aug. 31–Sept. 13, 2026 and Sept. 30–Oct. 13, 2026. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars; per-night values divide the 13-night total by 13. The listing pool can differ between search windows, so the figures describe the observed price difference rather than attributing every change solely to the tournament.
