Methodology

RotoGrinders compared displayed accommodation prices on Airbnb and Booking.com for Queens and Manhattan across two equal 13-night stay windows.

  • Tournament-period stay: Aug. 31–Sept. 13, 2026
  • Comparison stay: Sept. 30–Oct. 13, 2026
  • Guests: 2 adults
  • Listings analyzed: 2,073
  • Platforms: Airbnb and Booking.com
  • Locations: Queens and Manhattan
  • Collection date: Aug. 19, 2026
  • Currency: U.S. dollars
Prices reflect the accommodation inventory displayed at the time of collection and can change as availability and rates move. The two windows do not contain identical listing inventories, so the analysis compares the available market in each search period rather than a matched set of properties. The results show a price difference between the periods and do not attribute every change exclusively to the US Open.
